Light House Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital is a modern rehabilitation center for young people with low vision or no vision who want to partake in mainstream life like other normal people.
Light House has trained hundreds of young men and women and is now
looking forward to spread light in the lives of more youngsters as they are the
future of our nation.
For children, young men and women and elder citizens of Pakistan with low vision
or blindness having
- Problems in writing necessary daily notes and mailing letters.
- Facing difficulty at work places.
- Problems in reading Qura’n, books of Hadeths, newspapers etc. and facing
problems while walking and or crossing road
- Inability to read normal fonts and use routine illuminations on computers
- Difficulty in seeing potential obstacles such as steps, walls and furniture.
- left the school/college due to low vision and is sitting idly at home
- Inability to recognize familiar faces and objects,
are trained at‘Lighthouse’ at Al-Shifa Trust eye hospital which has the solution
for each of this problem. ‘Lighthouse’ invites such people to get trained at light
house with the help of special softwares like ‘magic’ and modern equipment like
Braille computers, CCTVs, magnifying filter screen, reading appliances, laptops,
zoom text keyboard, special mobile phones, TOPAZ etc. and start the journey of
their lives anew.

All those people who are deprived of learning the use computer and can not get training in
normal computer training centers due to low or no vision, in light house at Al-Shifa Trust Eye
Hospital trains them to use computers efficiently and perform different jobs related to computers
so that they live their lives independently like other normal people. It is a path leading towards
success, for those who want to try and lead a normal life.
