- Light House is a Resource Center for people with incurable blindness or low vision. It has been supported by Universal Service Funds.
- It is a unique facility in whole of subcontinent which provides most modern computerized devices for rehabilitation of blind and nearly blind
- People of all ages including children, adults and elderly can avail the facilities which enable them to read newspapers and books, write, email, prepare lectures etc. (link to Light House Brochure)
- The modern facilities include Braille computer, computer and TV monitor magnifying devices, talking computers, specialized software like ‘Jaws’ etc.
- Dr. Mohammad Ashraf a qualified ophthalmologist is head of department. He is supported by Ms. Sameela Kanwal who is a psychologist and specially trained in use of modern low vision techniques.
- Light House also provides training to low vision and blind clients, special education teachers and social workers in modern rehabilitation techniques.
